After dedicating 15 years of a happy career to architecture and engineering, I suffered a serious back injury that led me to undergo surgery to receive a prosthesis on my spine. It was then that an obsession to understand the human body, its mechanics, the mechanisms of healing and recovery after injury and its prevention grew. And so I stopped I decided to dedicate the following years to the study of the human body and different techniques to treat it, and in this way start a new career helping people to prevent and improve physical problems.

I started my studies in anatomy and physiology at the Igem School of Barcelona in 2012, while studying at the Ferrandiz Institute for Quiromassage, Advanced Chiromassage, Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage and Lymphatic Drainage. Likewise, I was able to study Californian Massage or Esalen Massage with Sujati Sandra Lacanna, and Thai Massage at the Sunshine school in Chiang Mai, in addition to having attended different courses on the Use of Tens in Rehabilitation and Pain Management Processes, Application of Elastic Tape in Rehabilitation and Treatment of Superficial Inflammatory Processes, Methods of Detection of Structural and Muscular Imbalances, and others.

At the beginning of 2015 I started practicing Ashtanga Yoga, and since 2016 I have had the fortune to travel to Mysore (India) for periods of between 3 and six months to attend the teachings of my teacher Sharath Jois, and where I am lucky to have tried different physical problems of more than 300 different Yoga students and teachers in recent years, taking advantage of this experience to progress in understanding the body and the effects of yoga on it, as well as detecting the relationship of certain injuries with performance problems asanas (yoga postures) and vice versa.

Also for more than 35 years I have practiced different martial arts and contact sports (Karate, Boxing, Kick Boxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Aikido), especially aikido, to which I dedicated myself professionally to teaching for more than 10 years. The relationship and practice has also helped me to deal very specifically with practitioners of these practices and sports, as well as others, from the practitioners’ point of view. I have been fortunate to work in Spain, Israel, Panama, and especially since 2016 between India and the United States for the past few years, settling in the San Francisco Bay area, where I currently reside.

Although my studies in different BodyWork techniques such as, Chiromassage, Advanced Chiromassage, Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Californian Massage, Thai Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Use of Tens in Rehabilitation and Pain Management Processes, Application of Tape Elastic in Rehabilitation and Treatment of Superficial Inflammatory Processes, Methods of Detection of Structural and Muscular Imbalances, today my work has ended up being a mixture of all of them, taking from each technique what each patient needs at all times.

Each session consists of a small prior check-up at the structural level, to continue with the treatment itself. During the same, checking and treatment maneuvers will be carried out at the same time, constantly adapting to what is happening, without preconceived ideas or sequences. The treatment lasts 2 hours (extraordinarily it can last up to 2 and a half hours). To carry out the treatment, different types of oils and creams are used in small quantities to facilitate maneuvers and help at the same time with the properties of the different medicinal plants that have been used in their preparation.
